Current Areas of Study
Chromatin modifying complexes
Protein complexes conserved from yeast to humans harboring MYST-family histone acetyltransferase and ING-family tumor suppressor subunits
The NuA4/TIP60 complex: an essential multifunctional player in epigenetic mechanisms
A haplo-insufficient Tumor Suppressor, the NuA4/TIP60 complex is essential for cell viability, stem cell renewal, gene-specific activation and repair of DNA damage. It is a large multisubunit protein complex with two enzymatic activities implicated in epigenetic mechanisms, histone acetylation and incoporation of the histone variant H2A.Z. In addition, it contains a plethora of reader modules capable to decipher epigenetic signals on chromatin.
Experimental approaches
Biochemistry of chromatin and protein complexes, protein-protein and DNA-protein interactions, native purification, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Mutagenesis, Genome editing, Proteomics, Functional Genomics (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, CUTnRUN-seq)
